Real Time Volume and Pan Adjustment
When you make adjustments to pan or volume level using the Audio Mixer set to Clip Mode, or by manually adding and adjusting keyframes, you do not get instant feedback about how well that adjustment sounds. In other words, you first make an adjustment and then, in a second step, you go back and play the section you just adjusted in order to listen to it and evaluate it.
However, using the method discussed in this recipe, you'll be able to make level and pan adjustments while Avid Media Composer is actually playing, and you'll also be able to hear the result of those adjustments immediately in Real Time. Additionally, while you're making those adjustments, Media Composer is recording them as keyframes and you can adjust them after the recording is completed if you need to.
