Chapter 7. Configuring Horizon View to Deliver Virtual Desktops
Our Horizon deployment so far consists of a couple of different elements, the View infrastructure components and a virtual desktop machine image that we have built in the previous chapters. It's now time to bring the two elements together so that View can deliver the virtual desktop machines to the end users.
In this chapter, we are going to configure and prepare Horizon View using the Horizon View Administrator to deliver virtual desktop machines by creating desktop pools.
In our example lab, we will configure three desktop pools—one for Windows 7 (floating assignment with linked clones), one for Windows 8 (dedicated and full clones), and finally a manual pool with a dedicated assignment, and using virtual desktop machines with an NVIDIA GPU.
