In simple terms, a strategy is a plan that is used to achieve or meet an overall goal that has been defined. When you define a goal, you need a plan to accomplish it. For example, you set the goal that you want to become certified in cybersecurity. Unfortunately, this just doesn’t happen. Ask yourself what is needed to become certified. This is where your strategy comes into play. Your strategy will be the steps needed and the plan you put in place to become certified in cybersecurity. You will want to first set a date you would like to be certified by. Once that date is set, you are going to need to study, which means you will need to purchase study materials. You may need to attend a class, attend study groups, complete practice exams, etc. You will also need to plan when you will study and what material you will use, and you will need to ensure you have covered all material before sitting the exam.
