Introduction

In this chapter, we'll create maps using PyQGIS, Qt image objects, and QGIS Map Composer to create map layouts that can be exported as documents or images. The QGIS Map Composer is designed to create static map layouts with decorative and reference elements, for printing or inclusion in another document. We'll step through adding and configuring different elements on a map layout, which can be combined in different ways for different types of layouts.
