In synthetic instruments, vibration is described by functions over time, called signals, which express the variation in the time of the acoustic pressure. Sound synthesis is a process that allows you to generate the sound artificially. The parameters by which the timbre of the sound is determined differ according to the type of synthesis that is used for the generation, and can be provided directly by the composer, or with actions on appropriate input devices, or derived from the analysis of pre-existing sounds.
