Portals were originally an add-on component for the Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dynamics 365 Field Service, and Dynamics 365 Marketing apps. Dynamics 365 portals are now Power Apps portal apps. You create a portal for a Dynamics 365 app using a template supplied by Microsoft.Â
To create a portal for a Dynamics 365 app, you create a portal from the Power Apps maker portal and select one of the following templates:
- Community: A community portal for customers to share information with each other, using forums, the knowledge base, and providing feedback with comments and ratings.
- Customer self-service: A self-service portal for customers to view and submit cases, search the knowledge base, and share with others on forums and feedback.
- Partner: A portal for partner organizations such as resellers and suppliers. The portal for the Dynamics 365 Field Service app requires the partner template.
