Exploring VeeaMover and its benefits
Moving backup files has been one of those things that has not been as easy as it should have been with Veeam Backup & Replication. Now, with the release of v12, a new under-the-hood feature called VeeaMover can help all backup administrators with these tasks. Imagine moving data from one Windows ReFS-backed repository to another Windows ReFS-backed repository while keeping the block cloning savings. Similar challenges currently exist when copying data between multiple XFS filesystems. Also, imagine migrating from a ReFS-backed repository to an XFS-backed repository or vice versa while maintaining block cloning savings built into those filesystems.
With VeeaMover, you can now move servers between jobs and even between repositories. Even the new SOBR Rebalance feature mentioned in the next section takes advantage of VeeaMover in the background.
