A few points to remember


  1. If you leave the Next Automated Approver Determined By field blank, you can't automatically assign approval requests to the manager in any step you create for this approval process.

  2. For both enterprise and unlimited editions, there is a limit of 15 steps per process.

  3. Process visualizer allows you to export data in PDF format or print it as a flowchart.

  4. Advise your users that they must click on Submit for Approval to enter records into the approval process.

  5. You can have multiple versions of a flow, but you can activate only one version of a flow at a time. From the flow detail page, activate or deactivate one version of a flow. Click on the Activate link available next to version 1 of the flow.

  6. If the flow doesn't have a start item, the Activate link will not be available.

  7. Consider using a process, Visual Workflow, or an Apex trigger to submit a record to the approval process.
