In this chapter, you got a good understanding of how to design a reporting dashboard, prepare and measure performance indicators, and visualize data for individual groups of stakeholders.

This chapter concludes the third part, Implementing Software, of this book. I want to encourage you to make use of all the things you learned and enhance the invoice validation application. There are quite a few loose ends for you to pick up – for example, there is the IVP Activities record, which can store a few more items, and that can become an audit trail of the case. Think about attaching a scan of the invoice to the case.

In the next part of this book, we will deal more intensively with the subject of coding, expressions, and logic in Appian. And in Chapter 15, Using Web Services with Appian Integrations, we will return to the application to add a web service integration to post the invoice.
