In this chapter, we'll learn how to play with data and get the desired information by exploring it. In Kibana, we have the Discover tab, which provides you with features to explore your data. We can do many things under Discover, such as limit the number of field displays to focus on what you want to see. Say you're only interested in few columns; you can add only them in your data display. You can filter your data using the Elasticsearch data filter; it offers a handy option where you can directly apply the filter on your data. Apart from the data filter, we can apply a time-based filter. Let's say we want to see the data of last week only; this can easily be filtered using the time-based filter.
