Windows Server 2019 also has a few new features or changes to existing ones that enhance the availability of Windows Server 2019-based SQL Server deployments even if they are not SQL Server 2019. The versions of SQL Server supported on Windows Server 2019 are SQL Server 2016, 2017, and 2019.
