Creating the bottle holder body

Let’s get right into creating in Fusion 360. Start a new drawing, hit the save icon in the top left, and then create a new folder named Ch09 Bottle Holder. Save the file with the name Bottle Holder. Set the units for the drawing to millimeters instead of inches.

Now that we’ve saved, the first thing we need to do is bring in our references from the previous chapter:

  1. Open the Data panel in the top-left corner and navigate to Ch08 Bottle Reference.
  2. Right-click on the bicycle and bottle file and click on Insert into Current Design.
  3. Click OK to accept the default location at the origin.
