In this last advanced chapter, we'll speak about security, which is an essential aspect of working with data. To add protection, you need to have Tableau Server. In this chapter, we'll focus on three ways of dealing with security, including the following:
- Tableau Server security
- User filters
- Row-level filters
To manage security on Tableau Server, you need to have sufficient privileges on it. To add the user filter and build the Row-level security filter, you need at least one a way to connect to Tableau Server. Let's start with the most straightforward way of securing your data on Tableau Server.
