Chapter 4. Creating and Managing Virtual Machines

So far, we have configured the entire required virtualization environment in order to create your virtual machines on RHEV. In this chapter, will learn how to create Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows virtual machines from scratch on the RHEV infrastructure and guest agents' installation to enhance the performance. Also, we will learn how to create virtual machine templates so that you can use these templates to rapidly create a replica of the original virtual machine, how to take virtual machine snapshots, and how to restore the virtual machine from these snapshots. In the final section of this chapter, we will learn how to back up your virtual machine using the export disks to move your virtual workloads from one data center to another in the same, as well as the new, RHEV environment.
