Setting up your own acceleration program
The Build for Earth program took six months to create and is continuously developing. Preparatory work included reading up on scientific findings, searching for real-world data, interviewing experts, setting up the structure and content, and communicating with subject experts to participate in the acceleration program. What to include and exclude in an acceleration program is not an easy choice, as there are many important considerations to make when it comes to succeeding with the task of going from innovation to an actual solution. We know from research and real-life that success is not dependent on a single factor. Along the way, we have added extra material and workshops to adapt to the needs of participating teams, such as how to use human-centered design and understand customer perspectives.
