In 2005, I founded the cybersecurity specialist firm Truesec. At the time, I already had 10 years of experience in penetration testing, system hardening, and other technical aspects of cybersecurity. In addition to that, I was frequently speaking at large international events demonstrating novel hacking techniques to raise awareness around cyber threats. A long time has passed since then, and the Truesec team and I—consisting of around 200 cyber experts—have engaged in a massive number of advanced cybersecurity projects over the years.

Looking back, the cyber landscape has changed dramatically.
