Migrating physical workloads to Azure IaaS

Now that we have learned how to configure the Azure Migrate appliance and how to discover, assess, and replicate VM workloads, we should cover what additional steps need to be completed to achieve the same for physical server workloads. Understanding all the requirements laid out earlier in this chapter in the Introduction to Azure Migrate section, the only additional configuration that needs to be completed outside of proper migration planning for the physical server is to include the discovery source as a new host within the Azure Migrate appliance, as shown in Figure 14.38:
