Think back to any recent situation where you felt required or were compelled to persuade someone on the merits of something: a disagreement escalating to conflict, dealing with senior management, expressing what you believed was a money-saving idea that was quickly ignored, you wanted a promotion, your new cross-functional team is dysfunctional, or your company has been merged with another and you want to keep your job.
