Resizing and copying image files
Image files are probably the most commonly uploaded files and often you want to use these files in your site. However, users are not always good at following directions about the sizes or types that you want.
Emmanuel Danan wrote the ChronoForms plug-in that can handle image resizing and a few other useful things. The plug-in has been updated to work with the current versions of ChronoForms and is included as a part of the installation package.
Note
Just to avoid any problems later, the plug-in will only work with one file upload input on any form. If you have multiple files to be uploaded then some more work will be required.
Getting ready
We already have a form with a file upload field that will accept jpg
and png
image files, so we'll use a new copy of that.
Note
Please ensure that you have a recent version of the plug-in; some of the earlier versions have a bug in the way they handle file names.
