Users and Control
This section will give you an insight into what you need to think about from a security and permissions perspective. The objective should be to provide users access and permissions to the areas they need to effectively perform their role while making sure that overall control and governance of the CRM is maintained by only a small number of Administrators.
Let's begin by looking at groups.
Groups
If you have five or more users then it may be useful to create groups of users, such as Sales or Marketing, as it will speed up the sharing of reports and also provide a shared calendar, both of which may be beneficial.
To create a group, navigate to Setup | Users and Control | Users | Groups, then click New Group, provide a Group Name, and add the users to it.
Profiles
Unless you are using Zoho as a single user, profiles are among the most important elements to set up before your team starts using the system.
