Adding further value by creating custom modules
So far in this book, we have talked only about the standard modules of Zoho CRM—that is, modules that are enabled and built into the system for us to use and configure as required. However, one of the standout features within the system is the ability to create our own custom modules. Note that the ability to create custom modules is available in CRM Enterprise, Zoho One, CRM Plus, and Ultimate editions.
In many cases, a business will have a successful CRM by using only standard modules; however, in certain businesses, they do not meet all of the requirements and there will be other processes or people that we require to manage within the system.
Let's consider a few examples of business types using Zoho, whereby a custom module will add huge value, as follows:
