Understanding the basics of Azure Stack Hub management and monitoring
Azure Stack Hub software components are internally monitored via the health service and the Service Fabric health service. Metrics and logs are centrally collected. Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) vendors are responsible for agentless hardware device monitoring through external systems. This is achieved by each OEM, adding a host to Azure Stack Hub called the hardware life cycle host (HLH). Storage Spaces Direct storage is monitored by Azure Stack Hub components. A REST API is available for the third-party integration of alerts, metrics, and logs. This includes the System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) Azure Stack Hub Fabric management pack and Nagios integration. This infrastructure is shown in the following diagram:
