Enforcing Your CAD Standards
This chapter will not teach you how to define your CAD Standards but, rather, how to enforce the standards in your project files. I will assume you already know the importance of defining the standard layers, linetypes, text styles, dimstyles, and other resources to maintain corporate drawing standards, not individual drawing standards. Our goal is to achieve drawing consistency between individual users. Whether your organization has 2 or 2,000+ users, this consistency is key to producing a corporate look and feel in your project data. As a user in any organization, you should be able to work in any drawing and expect certain rules to apply.
