Operational architecture
Typically, for every solution that is being developed, based on the functional, non-functional, regulatory, and corporate requirements, an appropriate infrastructure model is created. For the Sales Fulfillment Application, an infrastructure work stream is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of facilities, networks, security, general system environments, and the overall IT environment needed to support the application and operations. This work stream is responsible for creating an operational architecture, that is, a representation of how the Sales Fulfillment Application would be made up in terms of a network of computer systems, their associated peripherals, and the systems software, middleware, and application software that they run. The operational model typically consists of the following:
