In this chapter, we will support you on your cloud computing journey by sharing cloud adoption methodologies and the best practices, tools, and resources that can simplify and accelerate your migration to the cloud. We will introduce the prerequisites to consider before migrating an application to Azure.
In order to apply the best practices to digitally transform and accelerate the operational results of internal applications, at the beginning of this chapter, we will explain the organizational features identified by Microsoft Azure. This will improve readiness for the cloud, and as these features are based on the Cloud Adoption Framework, we will plan the migration and the different strategies for cloud migration according to the Azure hosting options.
