Summary
In this chapter, we learned about a few additional, more advanced methods to create the elements in our building model.
First, we deepened our understanding of composite structures, giving us full control over the different element Skins and their building materials.
After that, we learned how Archicad has a nifty system of priorities linked to materials, which allows us to have elements that join and connect as construction elements should. This brings a lot of power to control building element connections at a fairly detailed level.
Next up, we looked at a few more options to model complex roofs, including how roofs interact with other elements.
In the next chapter, we will look into three “system-based” modeling elements: stairs, railings, and curtain walls.
