Let's finish off this long chapter by taking a look at some of Affinity Designer's main manager panels: Guides, Grids, Snapping, and Resources.
Books about creative applications such as Affinity Designer tend to concentrate on the drawing and painting, or basically the "creation," side of things predominantly, and for good reason – it's fun and there is usually a lot to explore. However, often the difference between a good application and a great application is the supporting aspects of the software. Looking only to the creative side of things is really only half of the picture. The other half may not be as engaging at first glance but it's certainly as important. In fact, if done right, it enables you to really concentrate on the creative side all the more.
