Complex Product Engineering
This section presents a general-purpose methodology for the development of complex products. For sure, it is not possible to give a complete and detailed step-by-step development procedure that is valid and effective for all domains and organizations. The methodology provided in this section only describes a toolset of the essential steps at a high level of abstraction.
You should not miss these essential steps in an engineering project. That is why they are called essential. You have high degrees of freedom regarding which level of detail and format you perform them, and of course, you must add more steps that are specific to your domain and engineering style.
