Ever since I bought my first computer, a Commodore Vic-20, I have been continuously learning new computer languages. I cannot count the number of computer languages that I have learned over the years. Even when I was working as a network engineer and security specialist, I learned languages such as Perl, Python, and shell scripting to automate administrative tasks. Learning all those languages has taught me that the best way to learn a new programming language or programming paradigm is to come up with several small projects and figure out how to implement them in the language or programming paradigm that you are trying to learn.
