Configuring backups
In this section, we will look at why backups are needed, how to configure them, and how to restore a session host or FSLogix profile. Let’s kick off with the backup and restore process for the session hosts.
It’s important, especially with users who have a personal session host, that this host is protected. These users are typically developers who need to be able to install specific programs and tools on the session host for which they are given local administrator permissions. To make sure that these kinds of machines can be recovered quickly, the IT admin can configure a virtual machine backup in the Azure portal.
Creating a Recovery Services vault
The first resource that the IT admin needs to create before they can start doing backups is the vault. This is done by going to Backup center in Azure, selecting Vaults, and selecting +Vault.
