Creating tusks and teeth for an orc

Everyone needs a healthy smile, even orcs. Some pieces of our sculptures are most easily created as separate objects, and teeth are an excellent example of this. Keeping teeth separate ensures that we will have a sharp transition between the mouth and the teeth. This is because polygons of separate objects can never blend together through the use of the Voxel Remesher or any other means.

In this section, we will sculpt two types of teeth and place them in the provided character's mouth.

Getting ready

For this section, we have provided an orc head that needs some teeth. Download the orcTeeth_Start.blend file from https://github.com/PacktPublishing/Sculpting-the-Blender-Way/blob/main/Chapter09/orcTeeth_Start.blend.

Launch Blender and open the .blend file. This scene comes with the sculpture that you can see in the following image:
