EAFs and methodologies
EAFs provide guidelines for creating and using EAs that describe a model of a system’s architecture. Tools and approaches are provided to facilitate enterprise architects’ work to optimize different architecture domains across the enterprise. They integrate disparate, fragmented manual and automated processes into an environment that is responsive to change and supported by the implementation of business strategies.
EAFs determine how organizations can most effectively achieve their current and future business goals. While EAFs have evolved over the last five decades, there are a few that have been developed and improved over time and are still in use today.
