Installing and Deploying Nautobot

In the first two chapters, we learned about the need for network automation and a Source of Truth with Nautobot. We then provided an overview of the data model and relationships of the data inside Nautobot. Now that you understand why Nautobot is an important piece of your network automation strategy, it’s time to get Nautobot up and running with hands-on exercises and start to see the data model come to life.

In this chapter, you will learn how to install Nautobot and start to populate it with some data. Both of these topics will be covered in even more detail in the next chapter of the book, including production-ready deployments and all the features that Nautobot provides for modeling your network to drive your network operations by its design.

But first things first – you need to understand the basic components of the Nautobot stack before progressing.
