Summary

In this chapter, we covered the importance of model tuning through hyperparameter optimization. We provided examples of doing grid searches in Apache Spark, as well as how to use SageMaker's advanced parameter tuning.

In the next chapter, we will focus on optimizing the hardware and cluster setup upon which we train and apply models. Both model optimization and hardware optimization are important for successful and cost-effective AI processes.
