The basic workings of the Appian Designer environment
The Appian Designer is the development environment in the Appian platform. We will now show you how to open it and explore the basic principles of how it works:
- Click the waffle icon to open the menu and click the Appian Designer option.

- Now, you will see the APPLICATIONS view listing all of the applications you have permission to view or modify. On the top-left side of the screen, you will see a search field. This can be used if you cannot find the Quick App in the Name column. Click the application name to open it.

The main screen of the Appian Designer is divided into three parts:
- On top, there is a menu bar with some tabs and buttons.
