Exploring blogs


The Blogs portlet includes full WYSIWYG editing capability and publication date, RSS support, threaded user and guest comments, tags and labels, social bookmarking links, e-mail notifications of blog replies, and an entry rating system. In order to let small teams work on specific projects and share files and blogs about project processes, we should use the Blogs portlet at the Palm Tree site member.

Let's look at an example on the Blogs portlet. As an administrator of the enterprise Palm Tree Publications, create a page called Blogs at the Palm Tree site, and then add the Blogs portlet (portlet ID 33) in the Blogs page . Then, you are ready to create blog entries named Liferay Portal Best Open Source Portal and How to create best Intranet portal.

Adding entries

First of all, we need to create an entry called Liferay Portal Best Open Source Portal. Let's create the entry, as shown in the following screenshot.

  1. On the Blogs portlet, click on the Add Blog Entry button.
