Building an advanced automation

Now that we have a good grasp on the tools needed, let’s build our first advanced automation!

How to do it…

Let’s begin with a form offering a free ebook titled, 3 reasons why cats rule. In exchange for the user providing their first name and email address, we will send them our free ebook:

1. Click on the AUTOMATION tab in the left-hand side navigation bar to open the menu and choose AUTOMATION BUILDER.
2. Click the + sign to start a new automation.
3. In the popup that appears, give your automation a name.
4. Select a category for your automation or create a new one.
5. Click Save.
6. Click on Automations in the left-hand menu. Click the + button to create a new automation and choose Advanced Automation.
7. Drag a Form submitted goal onto the canvas.
8. Double-click the Form submitted goal to customize your form or choose one you’ve already created. By default, all forms have first name and email already...
