Chapter 9. Automated Remote Gardening with Intel Galileo

In this chapter, we will integrate an automation twist into gardening. Using a soil humidity sensor and a relay with a pump, we will set the water pump to water the plant whenever the humidity of the soil or the garden gets low.

Here is a brief summary of what we will do in this chapter:

• We will use a simple soil humidity sensor to measure the humidity of the soil or your garden
