Persistence
Defined as continuing to exist or endure over a prolonged period, persistence is a word that seems a perfect fit for its function in the holographic world. The primary goal of persistence, as it pertains to holograms, is to help create consistent experiences that the users can come to rely on being where they are supposed to be.
Think of it like a save game system for video games; however, instead of saving your character's location and how many bullets he has left, it saves the current positions of the holograms around your house.
Why are persistent holograms necessary?
Imagine that you have this great new smart house system that uses your HoloLens to control everything. However, it is controlled with panels and other objects that you put around your home.
