Community dashboard resources


Given the large community that surround and contribute free solutions for OpsMgr, it's no surprise that there's a fair amount of resources available to get you up and running quickly with some custom dashboards. One of these resources to check out is the Operations Manager Dashboards repository on the TechNet Gallery: http://aka.ms/scomdashboards

Here you can download some free sample dashboards with new heat-map widgets, scripts and templates. Figure 9.37 shows this repository and its well worth a visit.

We also recommend visiting the blog of Microsoft's Wei H. Lim at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/wei_out_there_with_system_center/. For the past few years, Wei has been releasing his own custom PowerShell scripts and sample dashboards for OpsMgr and some of the ideas he comes up with for visualizations are really useful. As an example of some of the dashboards he has made available, take a look at the 'Sample Object Health...
