Technical requirements

To try out the examples mentioned in this chapter, you need to have an environment where the Datadog Agent is deployed on either Docker or Kubernetes. The examples were developed in the following environments:

Docker: Docker Desktop 3.2.2 running on a MacBook Pro. Any environment that has the latest version of Docker would be compatible.
Kubernetes: Single-node minikube v1.18.1 running on a MacBook Pro. To try out the examples, any Kubernetes environment that has kubectl v1.20.0 or higher can be used.

The examples might even work with older versions of Docker and Kubernetes; you are encouraged to try out the examples on their respective most recent versions.
