Business Layer


The Business Layer tab is the first tab that we have on the Business Layer window's left panel. We will use the Business Layer tab to create business objects that will be used by end users. Before we start talking about business objects, let's have an overview of the functions available on this tab. The Business Layer tab is shown in the following screenshot:

Managing Business layer views

Business layer views are the same as Data Foundation views. We use them to organize our Business layer by grouping related objects together and reducing the number of displayed objects. We have the default master view that will hold all the created objects typically like the master Data Foundation view. The Universe end user will be able to see the created views and use them.
