Chapter 3. Customizing Your Blog with Bootstrap and Sass
In this chapter, you will study Sass in detail. Sass is a preprocessor for CSS. The Sass team says:

The CSS code of Bootstrap is built with Sass. In this chapter, you will build a simple design with mostly Bootstrap components. You will use Sass to modify and extend Bootstrap's code. At the beginning of the chapter, you will read about the features Sass adds to CSS and how it helps you to code your CSS more efficiently and in a DRY manner.
