The windows and doors help make the house figurine recognizable. Adding textures, such as brickwork and stonework, will further elevate the piece and make it come alive. In this chapter, you will make large sheets of textures for use in Chapter 11, Applying Textures with Boolean Intersection. You will learn two techniques to make those textures. First, you will learn about the Array Modifier and how it can be used to make patterns such as brickwork. Secondly, you will learn how to build off an existing Scalable Vector Graphics (.svg) file to make stonework. The skills you will use include:
- Adding an Array Modifier
- Adjusting the size and offset of an array
- Considering scale and its impact on arrays
- Adding multiple Array Modifiers for more complex patterns
- Using the File | Import menu option to bring SVG files...
