Technical requirements
We'll use the following tools and services in this chapter:
- Visual Studio Code: We'll use this to edit our React code. This can be downloaded and installed from https://code.visualstudio.com/.
- Node.js and npm: These can be downloaded from https://nodejs.org/. If you already have these installed, make sure that Node.js is at least version 8.2 and that
npm
is at least version 5.2. - Visual Studio 2019: We'll use this to run our ASP.NET Core code backend. This can be downloaded and installed from https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/.
- .NET 5: This can be downloaded from https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet/5.0.
- Auth0: We will use the tenant we set up in the last chapter to authenticate and manage users.
