Evaluating migration considerations

Understand your application environment so that you can select an application that will have the most impact and benefit and be an ideal candidate for the migration of other applications. Assess your entire application portfolio and migrate only the selected candidate first.

Data security and confidentiality are essential elements; it is very important to ensure compliance with internal policies and legal or regulatory requirements. In the analysis and planning phase, a key step is to know the different types of data used in the service to be migrated, in order to establish a data encryption model and the isolation of user accounts from each other by ensuring well-controlled cross-account access. Risk management leads to decision-making on appropriate security measures for each type of data and also an assurance of data compliance.
