Enterprise architect role
A company’s architect typically reports to the chief information officer (CIO) or another IT manager. The job of a business analyst is to assess the alignment of business structures and processes to the company’s goals. An enterprise architect must also ensure structures and processes are agile and robust so that they can quickly adapt to changes and withstand major disruptions.

CTOs, developers, software engineering directors, and CIOs are often acquired from enterprise architects.
