In general report customizations, you can select Report period, Accounting method, and how you would like numbers formatted on any report:
The following is a brief explanation of what's included in general report customizations:
- Report period: Select the period you would like to see in the report. You can do this by selecting the preset time frames from the drop-down menu or entering the dates directly in the fields.
- Accounting method: You can select the accounting method you would like to see the report in (Cash or Accrual). Reports will automatically default to the accounting method chosen when you set up your QuickBooks account. However, you can change this directly on the report. To change the default accounting method, go to Company preferences, and select the Accounting tab to make this change.
- Number format: You can format numbers by dividing them by 1,000, removing the cents, and not showing anything with a zero amount.
