A single cluster will incur two types of costs:
- Fixed monthly costs for the EKS control plane
- Variable costs from your computing, networking, and storage resources
Fixed control plane costs
Control plane pricing is fixed at $0.10 per hour, which equates to $73 (USD) per month per cluster, as shown in the following calculation. This is irrespective of any scaling or failure recovery activities that happen in the control plane managed by AWS.
