Practicing responsive layouts with Awesome Analytics
We’ll practice responsive and fluid layout approaches now that we’ve learned about them. In Chapter 2, Project Introduction: What We’ll Work on and First Tasks, the end user at the meeting with the stakeholders said that they never used devices other than their laptops for work with Awesome Analytics. As it turns out, this particular end user isn’t very representative.
In fact, the analytics of users have yielded that most users access the app from their smartphone or tablet device! However, since the layout and the design aren’t optimized for these kinds of devices yet, they only see the desktop version on their phones and immediately close the tab.
The sales department is in panic: if potential clients cannot at least use the sign-up page on their mobile devices, we lose out on potential dozens of our local currency! The management shares the panic, thinking about all the office goodies...
